Montbazon Fortress
In 991, the monks of Cormery complained to the King that «The Black Falcon» (Fulk Nerra) was building a keep on their land at Montbazon. It was the beginning of fortified castles in France.

Thursday and Friday evening in July/August sees the "Sacre du Chevalier" evenings revealing the secrets of hygiene, values of knighting and codes of conduct at mealtimes in the Middle Ages. The castle puts on after work parties on Wednesday evening from July to September. A fun-filled experience with the “100 énigmes de la Forteresse” castle mysteries during a cocktail party.
